The regulatory obligations on community pharmacy owners have grown significantly in recent years. GPhC inspection standards, NHS contract compliance under the CPCF, controlled drugs legislation, advanced service requirements and now the new supervision legislation — each represents an area where a gap in compliance can have serious consequences for your GPhC registration, your NHS contract, and your business.
TI Pharmacy Consultancy advises pharmacy owners on their compliance obligations across all of these areas — giving you the same quality of specialist support for compliance and quality that we provide for market entry and applications.

GPhC regulation applies across England, Wales and Scotland — all registered pharmacies in England and Wales are subject to GPhC inspection and must meet the GPhC standards for registered pharmacies.
Controlled drugs legislation applies across England and Wales. Pharmacy governance and quality obligations apply in both jurisdictions.
Pharmacy First is an NHS England advanced service and applies to England only. Wales has its own Clinical Community Pharmacy Service (CCPS) under the Welsh contractual framework — different requirements apply.

Yes. Our compliance and quality services are available independently of our applications work. You do not need to be a current or former applications client to instruct us for GPhC inspection preparation, controlled drugs compliance, governance review or Pharmacy First support. GPhC compliance relates to meeting the GPhC’s Standards for Registered Pharmacies — the standards assessed at GPhC inspection, covering governance, staffing, premises, services and equipment. NHS contract compliance relates to meeting your obligations under the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework — opening hours, essential services, advanced service requirements, CPAF and the terms of your pharmaceutical list entry. Both are important. Both are inspection risks. TI Pharmacy Consultancy advises on both.
